Task Forces
To address the challenges of 21st-century urbanization, the New Cities Foundation has assembled a limited number of Task Forces composed of specialists from the corporate, policy and academic communities working together to explore innovative solutions to help shape the best urban practices of tomorrow.
Each Task Force will bring together the Foundation’s membership working in a creative and collaborative process to tackle a well-defined challenge requiring specific innovation. NCF Task Forces will apply proposed innovations in pilot projects conducted in selected cities around the world, working closely with the local government.
Leveraging the specific skills and resources of NCF members, no two Task Forces will be alike and each group will be encouraged to creatively determine its own approach, work-plan and budget.
NCF’s first two Task Forces are in the areas of e-health in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and mobility in San Jose, California.
